they have something like this working on the evo x, so you should probably look in that area, also try looking around evoxforums.com

I am running in some trouble regarding an 88580714 ( V7 ) Rom version.

We have to run that because the base car is an EDM so it has 88840017 from the factory, and the only Tephra version which will run is the 88580714.

Need to pass the emissions test, and it would be really helpful if anybody has the Patch addresses for that rom.

I tried to find the address by use of an Hex Editor, but gave up after some hours. The rom is totally different against the 8859 versions, so there is no real " similarity" for that to find.

Many Thanks in Advance

I recently failed smog here in CA with my '06 MR. The only thing not ready was my O2 Sensor. Everything else was fine. To the best of my understanding, it hasn't been disabled in anyway. I'd rather not go down the rabbit hole of buying new sensors, etc. Can this patch be used just to address that one issue?

What you are describing is the exact reason I went into this in the first place. What rom do you have? Browse my threads above- and if you have the same one I do I suggest you do the same edit that I did.

All of my monitors were ready and just like stock when I passed my test.

You and I appear to have the same car 2006, evo ix MR.

Thanks. I forwarded the thread to my tuner. There is a zero percent chance that I'm going to be able to do this myself. My skills with the ECU start and stop with pulling logs and flashing roms, and while I'm always up to learn, I'm on a tight deadline.

which 02 sensor? If its the front, you should fix that as its needed for closed loop. If its the rear, then you need this patch and you need the rear 02 sim patch.

Front is fine. Rear is reading 0 volts. Sorry to be a pain, can you point me in right direction of the patch you mention? Thanks!

Thanks. I'm mobile and searching with the app is silly stupid. I'll look into this. It's not clear to me someone has passed recent smog with this patch. Concerned the sensor might not read "ready." I'll dig in a little.

I believe you still need to do the mod from this thread, but this will prevent a cel from the heater circuit which would fail you on smog regardless of the readiness, pass fail status. I know this contradicts what i said before about not needing this patch, but after going through my notes i think both are required to remove the sensor and pass.

I think you're right. Funny thing is, my heater circuit reads ready. The only thing not ready is the O2 sensor. Maybe it really is just bad, though I think that'd eventually throw a cell.
