wanting some info about the fuel
Open Loop Load #1 and 2
and
Open loop throttle low load / high load



currently open loop throttle low and high are the same
(?)

so if I am seeing a difference with load/fuel it must be in the openloop load 1/2 anyone have them set the same?


among other things I'd like to set onslought of open loop fuel below 35%tps .

My current understanding is that it is an either/or situation for the car to go to open loop. In my car I have set the open loop load map to 45% so anything above 45% load is open loop. The car cruises in open loop in lean mode and is ready to go when I nail it.

What info were you specifically looking for?

as if there are two conditions of load, or does that refer to fuel maps 1 and 2?

2 modes because there's a 'fuzzy logic' inside ..

open loop 1 is the mode where you transition openloop earlier and hence supposedly more power ..

open loop 2 is the fuel saver mode where you need to go higher loads before it transitions ..

i always thought it was todo with aircon being on or off...

i guess someone just needs to find the decision code and log the variable that decides...

Its timer based.. though some of the tests I'm still not sure..

The aircon references don't actually refer to the switch.. more the compressor or fan.. like test &h40 for compressor on fanspeed normal, &h41 for both radiator and aircon on fullblast etc.. I've got it stored somewhere if you're interested.. includes clutch, brakes, moving, stopped etc.. if yours is jdm

There's maybe 5 or 6 variables that it compares with also.. and these values are overwritten over time

It defaults to loop 1 on start though..

I was thinking this makes sense on the automatics.. not very relevant on manuals

You can watch it on a WB when it transitions, its actually kind of cool. The car will be bouncing in AFR (like closed loop always does) between 14.5 and 15.1 and then all of the sudden instead of moving in tenths, the WB starts varying in hundredths.

I have a small demo of just the Open loop load #2 being modified, but I run both of the maps at 45% load.

sorry to bring up an old thread but the testing ive done seems to indicate this value in the open loop load #1 and 2 indicates tps values not load % values.. If anyone has a logger and sets there value to 45 watch ur tps value and when it hits near 45% throttle or over it will turn to open loop...

there are 4 tables.
2x for TPS based loop control
2x for load based loop control

ie either event (load or tps) can cause the car to go into openloop mode!
