launch maps

watch out what you copy/paste from the forums, I tried what was supposed to be a safe launch map giving only 17psi, slight retard+fuel
I press the clutch down, then the accelerator pedal, 0.9s later I have 29psi O_O, the turbo/engine did not like it and made worrying noises, evoscan later showed that I ended up in only a few seconds with 13knocksum, don't think I broke something but that was quite extreme
just be careful what you try

He was talking about copying his own hi octane map to start with
But I agree with not trying others maps lol..
I can't figure the trend out for timing arrangement myself. I'm using -20 up to about 130 load and tapering off by 180. If I add more negative timing it quickly adds knock. I have -20 on the rows above and below my fuel cut. Are you only supposed to have it below so when the motor accels to the fuel cut it has enough to increase rpms effectively?

No one should be copying in someone elses maps. Showing maps is only to give you an idea of how one should look when you are done. I can get 24 psi on my maps with the boost set at 26psi. The wg actually is cracked open and sounds ridiculous sitting still and almost sound.s like antilag.
The first thing you should do is log your current two step.
Next you will want to make changes in the areas slightly below and above rpm and load wise with fuel and timing. You will want to add alot more fuel in the areas below and above but it needs to be a smooth transition. I will post mine in a bit. 0 counts of knock on mine and the lowest timing is only -12 i think.
