Exclamation Logging AFR using AEM UEGO without a serial cable

using this formula 0.03913*x+10 for the AEM UEGO

the AFRs read very close to the actual gauge. its a difference of +0.1 to +0.2 but it might just be a time issue

Not sure which of the two is more accurate but they are very close and reads fast.

here is a side by side comparison

FYI, if you are running a tephra rom you won't need to implement the rear O2 sim. It is pretty much just wire in and go at that point.

Everything seems correct, but I'm unsure of the MUT12 change you mentioned. I'd have to see how MRFred worded it to really be sure. I have never seen a need to change an entire row in the MUT table ... usually it is one or 2 cells. I'd be more likely to think you'd edit row 1, column 2.

As far as the pin removal ... there is a "lock" on the harness. On the VIII I believe it sort of clicks in to place in the center of the plug and is a different color than the harness. You should be able to get a small scribe or pick and slide it out from the harness ... about 3/16" or so and it's open. You'll know.

Then, there may be a small area toward the bottom of the harness where there is a tiny opening aligned with each pin. There is on the IX but I'm not certain on the VIII. You need to press in to this small opening to release the small latch on the pin itself, then it will slide out easily. If there are no small holes, then the pin may just slide out after releasing the main lock mentioned above.

Actually ...

2. Launch ECUFlash, open the ???1D table???, and change the value to 8408. What is this table? Is this referring to MUT1x row and D column? Is the CIRCLED value all i need to change?
The 1D table means "One Dimension" ... or, a single cell table. It refers to the table you added to the XML in the step prior, labeled "Rear O2 RAM Variable."

I'm still unclear where this 1D table is?

The instructions say, launch ecuflash, open the 1D table.

I'm looking in ecuflash. I have the ROM loaded but I dont see anything about 1D.

From Mrfreds post:

For the 96940011 ROM, add the following entry to your "96940011.xml" ECUFlash file:

<table name="Rear O2 (ADC 0A) RAM variable" category="Rear_02" address="a676" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>

Then launch ECUFlash, open the 1D table, and change the value to 8408. (You'll need to enter it as 0x8408.)

- You have to add the entry into the 96940011.xml then re-open ecuflash and change the value in that table to 0x8408

did you close / re-open ecuflash after u added that to the xml?

Also open the xml in notepad - by right clicking the xml and hitting edit, just confirm its added.

okay i updated the first thread.

ROM MODIFICATIONS step 2 and 2a.

I still have questions concerning step 3 regarding the MUT12

3) Next, in ECUFlash, find the MUT12 address in the MUT table. If the MUT table is not listed, then it will have to be added to your ECUFlash definition file. A thread listing the MUT table definition for most ROMs is *here*. Change MUT12 to 8409. (Again, you'll have to enter it as 0x8409.) Save the ROM and upload it to your ECU.
Does anyone have a photo of this table so I can compare the changes to stock? Am I supposed to change MUT12x across the board? or a specific block?

How is my setup for evoscan, is it correct?

Am I supposed to apply the formula in the o2 sensor #2 table of evoscan?

I'm pretty sure it is MUT row 1, col 2 ... MUT "1" "2".

The EvoScan XML formula looks correct, but I'm not certain of the location in the document. See if there is a section in the XML for Open Port 1.3 and MUT logging ... it should go there. I believe the EvoScan XML is broken in to sections, unlike the ECUFlash XML.

The test of the formula would be to load the ROM and log the WBO2 in real time and compare with the UEGO gauge.

Thank you TouringBubble.

So now it's just setting up Evoscan. All my questions are in the SETTING UP EVOSCAN section. I've tried pasting the code in several different locations in the data.xml but I can't find it anywhere when I open up Evoscan.

Answers?
