Help with scaling FIC Bluemax 1450 injectors

Hey guys,

Can someone help me out with starting scaling/latency values for FIC Bluemax 1450cc? I am running 91 oct right now. After searching for a while I found these values (these are for 92 or 93 oct).

Scaling:1329
Latency:
2.784
2.112
1.680
1.368
1.176
0.984
0.816

I tried out these values and the car started but threw P0300 misfire code. I am installing my WB tomorrow for further tuning. If someone can share 91 oct starting values that would be great.
Thanks in advance.
(stock turbo, ported hotside exh mani, 3.5in FMIC, no cat, kelford 272...)

Its really hard to get injectors working right without a WB. Just trims will not tell you the whole story.

latency-

3.264
2.232
1.68
1.272
1.08
0.888
0.696

scaling-1271

I havent done 1450s with a MAF in a dog's age so I had to dig to come up with the scaling. The latency is good to go however.

Thanks man, I will try to start with these values. WB is going in tomorrow. Anyone else has any experience with FIC 1450s on pump 91 gas?

The latencies you have on the OP should be good to go. Mess with the scaling to get your fuel trims in check.

I will tell you though, these injectors are a PITA on pump. They need to flow A LOT to do well.

e85....they are great.

In an VIII its probably the minimum IPW thing rearing its head. I can get these to idle fine on IXs on pumpgas. They are best run openloop to be sure but they will idle on the trims.

I have a IX. Im not really sure what you are talking about. You mean you can get 1450s to idle fine on a IX and pump gas?

I have mine idling just fine, but I am out of fuel pump for WOT. My settings are as follows....

PUMP 93

Scaling = 1329

e85

Scaling = 1008

Latencies

2.784
2.112
1.680
1.392
1.176
0.984
0.816

Fuel trims are within 3%. Perrin intake tube, Vibrant filter, MAF, Revolver cams.

Correct and it looks like Applaud has them even more refined than I do

Hey guys,

I installed the WB today and did some logging with Mitsulogger

Scaling:
1170

Latency:
3.264
2.232
1.680
1.272
1.080
0.888
0.696

FT Low +8
FT Mid -6

The cruise was a little "jerky" at some points and AFR jumped between 13-16 during these jerks
Idle was around 15.5-16
Anyone can explain this?

Any advice guys on what to do next? Im planning to increase scaling to 1218 tomorrow, but I feel that idle will be even leaner. I will probably try these latencies also:
2.784
2.112
1.680
1.392
1.176
0.984
0.816
Do I have to change latencies in order to fix idle?
Thanks for everyones help

tbo....93 or e85?

My scalings posted above work wonderfully. Because you have the Buschur intake some MAF scaling might be in order.

Ive tried 1218 scaling with above latencies and idle improved a lot but cruise went to -13. I will try original #s again: 1329 scaling with above latencies and will report back.

Did another log

Scaling = 1329

Latencies

2.784
2.112
1.680
1.392
1.176

FT Mid -4

Idle is around 15.5 now
Any input on how to get them close to within 5%
