Yep, documented them quite a while back on the wiki (and I actually have an old post from Tom Dorris several years back to thank for finding them in the first plarce), but a couple of us contacted them independently, and they're only interested in volume sales: one-offs to hobbyists (or even small-volume runs for retailers) aren't something you'll get very far with them on.

Have you spoken with them? It would be very good news to hear that they're actually interested in doing lower-volume sales now.

I wonder if I can pull the 'sample for a large OEM manufacturer" card and get some free pins. lol. It works with Deutsch!

Heh, the fellow I spoke with was willing to try and track down a sample or two for me as a favor, but they're not exactly Tyco or JAE (whom I've received more than my fair share of free samples from at this point ).

Every single connector I've needed from them, though, I've been able to find from another manufacturer (or, at least a deprecated part number, some of these connectors are getting very hard to source). It seems as though Mitsu may have made contractual arrangements with the larger connector houses to be able to do in-house manufacturing on their own (hence the interoperability with shelf connectors from other manufacturers, but the SJD on all the plugs in our cars).

Just dug up the old email; I was talking with Matt Johnson. I'd also asked if he worked with any distributors who might do lower-volume orders (ie. DigiKey, Newark, etc), but he wasn't able to point me at anyone, either domestically or overseas.

I spoke with Matt today. Things are looking very hopeful. I'll keep you informed... I believe we may have some very good progress on this front.

If you're looking for an injector plug, Jens@FIC has nifty plugs (+pins and seals) that attach to the injector without the use of the annoying spring clip.
