I said '***AUCEDDY' and went Evo8. Its well worth it in the end. Esp since I sold my Tuned H8 to an old twin build of mine for 200 bucks plus his stock H8 (I didn't know he was on a H8 till after I sold him mine) and purchased a Evo8 from a fellow EvolutionM.net member for 200. Now picking up another Evo8 for a 96 GST Spyder I just picked up.

For the record, I'm InfiniteGSX from Tuners. I have a 97 mildly built GSX and a stock 96 GST Spyder. Did the H8 thing for a while but had to go Evo8 for the win. Its like a 10 wire repin which is simple as hell and any dumb *** could pull it off.

I am however a firm supporter of ECUFlash over that old eprom ****. I will vouch for and advertise to all 2g guys of the benefits of just tuning your stock **** instead of spending a ton of cash on a useless dead platform just to spend more money on tuning it. Screw that sideways. My couch pulls out, but I don't!

So tell the AEM and Link guys "Hell no! We wont go!" Tune on!

I saw this for the Evo 6

The following maps are switched:

High Octane Ignition Map
Low Octane Ignition Map
Boost Desired Engine Load
Base WasteGate Duty

But some of the maps are useful yet to the DSM if I understand right.
Yes those are the maps its switches, there are two sets of the above maps, main and alternate. Grounding the pin selects the alternate maps.

I completely agree, I am good with what we have, but it would be awesome to keep this development going.

Ceddy Where's Yo Face!
I would definitely donate if he or anybody else continued. Will be working on buying Big VE maps and going SD on my 98 GSX.

I'm one of the first Ceddy testers and he did wonders with the H8 compare to the other options available
But we have to be realistic if there already is Tephra and your DSM doesn't come with a flashable ECU
Get a 01-02 Mirage LS ECU and flash it with Tv7 which is cheaper than buying an evo ECU and is the same thing

Would Tephra pick up where ceddy left off as far as DSM's Go? maybe we should try contacting him about it. Im sure there would be plenty of willing testers.

Please finish what you started

I hate it when people don't finish what they start

How can you say its not finished when people are running the rom in their cars? I'm using it in my Evo 5 and it works perfectly. An unfinished rom is one that doesn't work, not one that doesn't have the features you want.

I run it just fine in my 98 gsx it works great. I plan on switching to speed density next spring. But dual maps and a few other extras would be awesome. Not to mention some final polishing. Not a lot of dsms run it because the support is not there.

I use Ceddy 1.2 in my V RS and it works very well, I wrote to Teprha about Ceddy mods but he has no time to learn H8. Ceddy was very close in the speed density setup and only one guy (Todd) tried it with partial success, I was almost ready to try it but got delayed for various reasons.

It would be great to have boost per gear and big maps, I would also donate in the 3 digit range .

It probably wont happen with the ease of an Evo8/3G 3.0L eclipse ecu swap. We have a few 1G/2G DSM's running speed density, launch maps, map switching and boost by gear off of the Evo 8 ECU and they love it.

Yea, I´ve got an Evo 8 Ecu and Maf in my closet just in case the Evo 5/6 Ecu looses all suport. I´ve also helped in swapping the E8 Ecu and maf into an Evo 6 and have been tunning it with boost per gear and it works really nice, logging speed is also much faster with the E8 ecu. I´ve just grown to like the E5 ecu with Ceddy mods.
