So, I did a few pulls on the highway. Pulls 1 & 2 in 3rd gear, 3 & 4 in 4th, and pull 5 back in 3rd. The first 4 pulls had 1-2 knocks while the 5th pull had 1-6 knocks. These pulls were all done in an hour. Boost was constant between 14-17 PSI. The only difference is gas went from 1/2 to 1/4 tank.

My last tank was 93 oct/10% ethanol while the tank before that was 91 oct/10% ethanol. Prior to filling 93 octane, my pulls resulted in up to 12 knocks(log posted in another thread). When gas reached close to 1/4 tank, I finally found a 93 oct station and filled it to almost a full tank.

Any reason for the higher knock in last pull? Possible the left over 91 oct has anything to do with it?

stop mixing octanes and you wont be confusing yourself.

inconsistent octane ---> inconsistent knock.
