Tephra 90550701 setup on EVO VII won't start

Hi Guys, happy weekend~!

I am trying to setup my car with 90550701 V7 from a 9865011 JDM ROM.

I moved everything over to the v7 rom, also set up the altmap to run lean during cruise, the load for open loop has been modded as well.

When I flashed the v7, and try to start the car, it turns but won't fire, maybe some starting setting not copied correctly?

When I re-flashed the original ROM back it won't start until a few tries later, but I can smell petrol, so I guess the engine was flooded slightly when I tried to start it with the v7.

So it seems to be a spark/timid problem?

Please see attached all files required for both maps, and any suggestion as what I did wrong would be much appreciated~!

EDIT: Removed ROM files, respect original author.

Thanks Todd! Tried it today, but still no luck. If I use the original ROM there is no problem?

I can only see the Valet mode that would stop the car running, does it crank over OK on the 9055? Are you planning to use ECU controlled boost? The ROM you have needs some changes to work properly, I have made those changes if you are interested.

Thanks for your help guys, If the original ROM worked, then why the needs to swap pins? I really want to avoid that if possible?
What could be the issue? My XML defined wrongly or ROM set up wrong?

I read somewhere you need to have the valet mode on, flash the ROM, then manually turn it off, then the car can start. This is for V5 from Geekmapped forums.
So after I flashed the ROM this is what happens:

1.CEL flashes slowly
2.I press the accelerator pedal for 2 secs
3.CEL flashes quickly
4. Car cranks but won't start, can smell petrol after a few cranks. feels like no spark?

How can you tell if Valet mode is on of off?

As for boost control, I am using the HKS EBC, this controls only the waste-gate, so if the setting on the ECU also only controls the waste-gate I think I am sage.

But I am a big fan of the support and help you give on this and other forums, so if you don't mind discussing or showing me the ECU control boost, I am all ear and ready to learn, maybe I'll go 3 port someday

Try switching the Valet mode off in the Tephra mod options. ECU boost control is pretty neat, but you will need to do those corrections, I can upload your ROM modified that way if you like.

Hi Burgers,

Thanks for the suggestion, I tired that with no luck as well.
Could it be my ROM being corrupted, or XML defined wrong or setting problem?

Any one got this to to start on a stockish 7?

The 98640014 worked, so not wire, could be my V7 ROM being the problem.
So I'll have to look for different one to try.

Thanks guys!
