Rob, I dont think I have seen a value much larger than 30 on a Tarmac setup, either stock or Ralliart.

Gravel rally controllers from Ralliart have had much higher values, hence the 99 thing as an example.

But yes, the 30 one is probably a better fit for most applications.

Maybe the current system could be generated by a low firmware inside the ECU, It could be done either in open loop or close loop current sensing...

I hope Mariln find out the parametric scaling for that current managing!

Forgive me guys: so the acd pump always sees 12v and the control unit regulates amperes in order to regulate accumulator pressure and a solenoid pulses to allow flow of hydraulic pressure to the acd or bypass. Does this sound correct? I'm trying to put together the pieces here.

So the pump will sustain pressure in the accumulator when the solenoid is not releasing pressure to the clutch packs, and when it is the accumulator pressure sensor detects a drop and starts the pump.

Am I on track here?

Are these something that is interchangeable? Can we mechanically raise the pressure in the system with good results or does the computer still regulate it down ?

The only way to rise the pressure is to drive the proportional solenoid with more current or to change the solenoid caratheristics (even more diffcult).
The accumulator i only a "pressure tank" with a elastic diaphram inside. As German evo VII said before, if you need much more pressure (maybe more then 18-20 bar) you shuld change it with one with different pressure limit.

I havent seen a need to raise the pressure to get the desired driving/racing characteristics I am after. In a launch it felt "locked" at 16 bar and didnt do a FWD burnout so I am presuming thats all it really takes.

Yes, you are in right, but it could be good upgrade for the ayc lockage, that is poor...

You can not go higher than approx 16 bar because there is an overflow valve inside the pump that opens at 16 bar or so..

I would be carefull about getting the actuator pressure higher as the membranes inside the transfer box want to break..
