If not ecuflash.. Then..

How was the factory calibrating their production model? They didn't tune it in hex did they? Curious..

Manufacturers either employ a full engineering team or they contract the work out to a team of engineers who write/have access to the original source code so no they didn't need to do it in binary....it would have been done in a higher level language and then compiled down to binary
