Flames Throwing Tune with EcuFlash
Hi, just wonder will it possible to achieve such flames throwing during lift off with Ecuflash with Ceddy map on Evo 5 & 6?

My car doesn't exactly do that type of anti-lag "pop pop" but it did shoot pretty significant fireballs between shifts and on throttle lift-off when road course tracking for long sessions. I assume when the engine is hot and the ecu is trying to cool stuff off with fuel.

throw some big nubers of negative timing in the lowest load area, where it falls on the lift off
might work without adding extra fuel, if you don't have cat and when the exhaust is hot

IMHO flame throwing during shifts is caused by big injectors with bad atomization. It will result in vast amount of fuel on the sides of the intake runners which will ignite once it reaches atmosphere, because throttle is closed and there is no air to burn it in cylinders or along the exhaust pipes. Also there is a little lag between releasing the throttle and ECU stopping to inject fuel.
But if we talking about the video in the first post there should be an ALS.

The answer is no! At least for the time being, this is proper anti lag, stand alone ECUs such as the Link Ecu (used in the video) has separate ignition & fuel tables specifically for anti lag, plus they have a lower negative timing limit than the stock ECU, I bet he's at around -30 or less to achieve such flames.

You will probably need to zero out the trq filtering on tip-out as well to shut off or reduce spark much quicker and allow for more unburned fuel to pass the exhaust valves. the calibration Decel fuel cut-off is what I am referring to. Note if you change this cal in the lower loads then your drivebility at low speeds will be compromised and could become very "bucky" and vise versa if you increase them making lift-off's at low rpm's take longer to decay if not rise in case of increasing them say to 100.

Can't deny my inner ricer has always wanted the car to spit flames and/or pops in between shifts...much like you hear in this vid (probably anti-lag):
But I'm concerned about turbo longevity (daily driver) and have little understanding of how it would compromise anything else for that matter. About the only thing I've ever read on the forum is pulling timing on the low rpm/high load region of the map you hit in between shifts.
