My car is a IX that was tuned with the wrong spark plugs i it, NGK BKR5E to be exact. Previous owner, but still should have checked that before tuning it. So too short, 2 heat ranges too hot, and gapped at 0.040. Lesson learned, maintenance before performance mods.

Anyways the tuner is about 4 hours away since there are no evo shops here, and with the stock IX plugs in the car, I am getting 8+ counts of knock around 5500 and beyond. And 3 counts of knock consistently during spool. Any thoughts on what to adjust? I'm thinking timing. 1 step colders don't make any change.

If a full retune is best, I appreicate that input also. Thanks.

i would assume your afr's would still be ok.
probably just need to pull timing.

I'll pull some logs and put them up here, I was worried to do a full pull since the TephraMod knock cel flashes fast starting at 5500 which is set to 8 count. Lift off knock as well, I don't actually hear it pinging though, so its strange to me.

I do not see it causing that much problem. What are they gapped to now? Anything else change?
