evo 5 gsr with monster ecu need reflash?
Hi folks, I'm new here.I've got an evo 5 gsr which came with a monster ecu in it. The problem I'm facing is that I want to reflash this ecu cuz I'm going for a bigger turbo. The following procedures were used to read/reflash the ecu but failed in all.
1. Tactrix openport 2.0 and flashport plugged in ecu flash gives an error while trying to read.
2. Some people said there must be low voltage so tried to read the ecu while engine running... It shut downs the engine which shows that pin79 is working.
3. Used ecu locker with ecuflash still no success same error.
4. Jumped pin 1 with pin4 on obd connector and tried to read same error tried ecu locker with this method as well no success.
If there is any hope to reflash this ecu then please help me out or should I buy a stock evo 5 ecu to reflash?
Thanks.

To be honest I do not know the monster ecu that much but I would consider a stock one. Other ecus sometimes have software locks on them that can be a pain and other software problems. The stock one is tried and true. Maybe some one with more incite on the monster will chime in.
