Snap, crackle, pops!

I missed my srt4 pops, so I added them to the evo! What do you guys think? Any worries about the negative timing messing up the turbo in the long run (like anti lag use)?

Since I had a heck of time trying to find what other people did with a video to go along - Here's my info for others that may be interested, this is all I had to change. Just a little negative timing and more fuel:

Ahh, the sweet, sweet sound of squealing race pads

That sounds really good and now I feel like doing the same to mine

Yeah the pops are a little ricerish to be honest, but I like them. And the car is 99% built for purpose on to go fast and have fun going around turns at the track!

I love track brake squeal too, though I'm pretty sure when I'm riding around town everyone hates me. Hawk HT-10 front, HP+ rear if anyone cares.

So how is it in the long run? Any issues and do you still run it like this? Thinking I might do this too.

My forge wastegate sheered in half and my buschur racing exhaust hanger broke within a week of doing this. A week after that my power steering pump pulley also broke and ate my serpentine belt which ate my timing belt which ate my valves. Hard to say if this was the cause or not because it was a dedicated track car that had many track days on it and I did one track day immediately after changing the tuning. After I rebuilt my head I took the pops out just in case, but missed the sound for sure.

So....I would just say be careful, my issues were likely unrelated, but keep an eye out.

Probably not the cause. I've done some horrible things to my car testing the anti-lag systems including make my own fresh air system, jacking the throttle and an entire main timing map of -20.

FYI you can make 30psi stationary with out using a fuel or spark cut limiter. It will sounds like a jet engine spooling up. And where you hold your foot determines the boost.

Then I got an a vipec standalone. torture went overdrive.

Really nice, is it possible to activate it via a Switch (eg. Intercooler Sprayer Button?).

Tephra V7 has Alt maps (alternate maps) thats actuated by a switch. Allows you to switch maps on the fly.

For example, it can be your Race gas, e85 map or whatever you desire to use the maps for.

this is mine. not installed yet
