You could try asking ID to provide you the linearization data. They've measured it on all their injectors. Just a matter of them putting it in the correct format for the Evo 8/9/10.

As far as scaling goes, I bought a set a while back. Before I installed them, I had them flow tested by a local shop that reported flow rates that were only about 5-6% better than my FIC1100s. That was quite surprising, so I sent them off to RC Engineering and got the same result. After a bit of digging, I found that a few seasoned tuners that had a similar experience. I ended up returning them and buying FIC2150s, so I don't have any actual scaling values, but they should be pretty close to what's been posted for FIC1100s.

Thanks for your valuable feedback mFred.

Being neutral and not being cynical, one should expect more flow with that extra 200cc . May be they perform better on E85 and less so on pump gas. looks like i have to dig more deeep.

Ok, i looked at FIC 1800 cc bluemax injectors which will cover the desired fuel requirement and have

a price difference of 335$ ..

why there is such a big difference in price compared to id 1300s ? low z vs high z or the all fuel compatibility advantage ?

I was surprised too by the minimal flow rate difference. There won't be any improvement in the difference for E85.

I wouldn't do a low-Z injector above maybe 1200 cc/min unless you are on very tight budget or don't care about idle/cruise. They are old technology and are too hard to get to behave consistently under idle/cruise. Try the FIC1650s or maybe the new ID1700s. Or even the FIC2150s - after I got them dialed in, they are the best performing injector I've tried for everything from idle to WOT, even on pump gas.

Low to mid 500s to the wheels is around 90% duty cycle on E85 for me. Just to give you an idea of ID1300 on E85.

If I had researched it more I probably would have just gone ahead and gone with FIC 2150s and then I would have had room to run a bigger turbo or whatever if I decided to. People seem to get great drivability on the 2150s so might as well.

Mrfred, did 1650s came with connector kit for evo 8 since they are high z ? or they are just plug and play.

I understand , how critical it is to select a proper injector which gives both idle, cruise and top end performance. MrFred if i order 1650s can you please share some low pulse width mS data with me ?

The 1650 is PnP. I've already posted the linearization data.

I've heard this a few times in different forums but when I got a set of 1300cc flow tested they all flowed an average of 1294cc, and dropped a car that was at 98% IDC on 1000cc to 77% IDC on 1300cc, no change to fuel pressure or boost.

That is my experience with just one set of ID1300cc though.

It's a shame that they don't perform as well as the FIC's. These ID's have a full stainless steal internal construction. It would have made them a great choice for all fuel types in the long run.
