yes thats totally normal, it means the ECU is in diagnostic mode which is activated whenever you are doing data logging. It effects nothing.

The flashing stops at 22kph when driving, so no big deal.

Also, you could start tuning with the Tephramod v5 9417, which uses the normal size maps.
Nothing wrong with that rom for tuning.

That's a pretty good idea I just wanted to start out with small maps get my tune dialed in and move up to big maps
