Lean afr Fp Red, E85
So ive been doing some logs and seem to be running out of fuel uptop in the rpm/power area of 6680 rpm or so. No knock in that area but watching my external wide band during pulls. Goes rich to 10.x afr then as rpms and boost rises I start seeing afrs of 12.6/7/8/9.
My high octane fuel map has around 9.1 afr in the cells near that rpm and load.
My question is. Should I add more fuel in and around those cells even if they are as low as 9.1?
evo 8
gsc s2

e86
1450cc fic
I think im on wally 255 and thinking its running out of juice up top and cant keep up with boost levels (28 psi)

So Razor mentioned you are way, way, way too rich up top. Maybe you should consider tuning for better afr's in those areas first??...... before trying to add more fuel.
If your tune is optimized in those areas then maybe your fuel demand might not warrant bigger.
Exhaust all possibilities first is my adage.

Ive been doing tons of reading and datalogging. But i am not logging afr or boost. Reason for speed density kit to setup omni 4 bar to log boost and just wire my serial wire from aem Uego to ecu also for logging.
Kinda hard looking at guages when your pulling g's in 3rd gear 😫

But other areas such as part throttle very rich 11.8-10.8.
So ive started leaning out high octane map. Still very little change if any. Part throttle still rich.
So my injectors were scaled to 1329.
I de scaled to 1008cc.
Am i the right path to tuning target afr or am i wrong.?
Adjustments to the high octane fuel map showed no real change in my wide band o2 readings.
Tuninf gurus please chime in.
Thanks

Did you go to Speed Density?
Sounds like the tune you have, is a standard base tune, with wide open throttle pulls, no real mid line, mid range tuning. Yes there are several areas you can adjust, but time and and gas is the question.
Also, what you did to the Injectors added fuel, which answers my question that they may not have been scaled correctly. I do happen to have the scaling and latency's for those very injectors, as well as their are a few threads already on here that have other member suggested scaling and latency's. In essence, you will be re tuning the car your self from here, and it sounds like it needs work.
Give us your ROM patch# as well. So we can point to areas to start, and then work through.
Also, give Merlin's HOW TO TUNE YOUR EVO a good solid read. Some of the methods are a little antiquated and have been updated, but it is a very good start to everything.
Good Luck.

Thanks for the reply RaceGhost. I have read merlins PDF. And a lot of other threads on here.
Im unsure on how to supply you with my rom PATCH#? Im on 96530706 rom. Tephra v7.
I think I don't understand how the high octane fuel map flows. How lean of a number in my Map is ok? LIke can I use a 13.9 in my map to read 12.9 in my wideband? I have read some threads by MrFred and he always suggests to shoot for a flat 12.0 afr across entire map on e85.

Making the injector scaling a lower number in the ROM adds fuel globally. So you're going the wrong way there.

Yes I learned that right away. It was an experiment. So I plugged in original tune injector scaling and latency. Im pretty sure I can just use High octane map for my tune. My only problem is im not fully understanding what my map should look like. For instance when viewing it in Graph mode. I Assume it should be pretty smooth. The ramping part I don't get also.

Are you tuning in open or closed loop?
