Knock Issue
I went 3 times to my tuner to fix this check engine flashing, indicating as knock but I am not sure if he is concentrate to fix it correct or if he is just trying to "fix" it by ruining other things.
I am not an expert on ECU flashing and obviously this is not my job but I do make my research. The check engine flashing 4 times (no too fast), and I believe this is low knock.
My car is a JDM Evo IX, stock engine, stock turbo, bolt's on with 21psi. I wanted to be safe that's why I am on low boost. I like the car's performance, has nice low torque and sound great. But I want to eliminate this know.
So can someone see my ROM and tell me what's is wrong??
Thank you

Its not that simple. First of all I paid this tune the first time, so now he is not charging for any changes or fixes that my car needs. If I go else were I have to pay again for new tuning. Anyway I think is one of the best around here and he is going to fix it at some point. I just asked so I could help him.
I remember now that I did my car tuning with 100 octane gas, but now they stopped import this gas. So I am using 98. Can this cause knock issues?

you can pump 100octane on a 98octane map but not 98 on a 100octane map. he will probably need to lower boost a tad bit and make touches to the timing. mdsevo06 is right you must have a separate map for different octane.

Greetings from greece,
op keep in mind that i live in greece and while we say we have 100 octane
gas we actually have 100RON...
also overseas (in US) they use AKI not RON.
it may seem to you that you are using 100 octane but you dont.. (also applies for me here in greece).
have you tried to add an octane booster to see if that helps?
Michael
