TSComptuned BR 2.0L STM FF 6766 GSC S3 E85

This car has already gone:

To set the Holset HX40 bar in the Evo. This turbos popular for DSM's, not to many evo guys were using it. Badev0 had it at one point or another when I was tuning his stock block and we did low 10's at around 140 also.

Now we have swapped the Holset turbo for a Precision 6766 Turbo. We did alittle tuning, but kept it rather conservative due to still only having the omni 4 bar which is maxed out at 45psi.

The log says 45.1psi, but really these numbers were made around 47-48psi. Since we didnt want to really do this (max the map sensor out), we had to stop it around here around 47psi.

What happens when you max the map sensor out is, it uses the last known values and keeps them. So you may end up going a little leaner the higher RPM you go, but it is not as dangerous as it may seem.

So temporary we put it on here, and he went to the track. At the track the transmission wouldnt let the car shift into gear so no clean passes, and no consistentency of any kind, other then high trap speed.

We both believe/think this car will go 155 as is with a good trans. not being able to shift severely hurts every aspect of the cars performance at the track.

If you look at the 1/8 MPH you can see its so inconsistent. Yet the car still kept trapping around 150.

Mods are:

Buschur 2.0L
Curt Brown Head
Curt Brown Extreme 70mm Intake Manifold /w Full Blown 70mm TB
STM FF /w Precision 6766
GSC S3 Cams
ETS 4" Intercooler w/ Short route upper pipe
FIC 2150cc Injectors
Spoolin up COP Ignition
Magnafuel ProTuner 750
Tial Q BOV / Tial 44mm Wastegate
Quarter Master 8 Leg
KOYO Half Radiator w/ SPAL Fan
MAP H11 Head Studs
Grimmspeed 3 port
Tephra V7 speed density /w ecuboost

Few pics of the car. Its a beautiful yellow evo.

Finally Graph: (Boost was somewhere around 46-48psi)

3rd gear & log stopped at 7968RPM due to 1byte RPM. I wasnt to interested in seeing past that for now since we are limited by the map sensor.

And 3 slips on the 6766 with major transmission issues. Nothing was clean on any of these runs. Complete lock out of gears.

Such as shame, but atleast he's trapping 150mph on a crappy transmission.

How much boost are you planning on running?

Somewhere around 55-60psi. We are looking for the stock ECU MPH record i believe its 162 right now.

And of course an 8 second pass.

The car also is a little heavy vs the competition, so we will be shaving more weight also.

Bad trans. The clutch should be ok. However I have no proof on that. Maybe its best the owner says that not me. Its not my car, so i honestly shouldnt be saying that.

He thinks that a half dog box trans will get him fixed. The 1-2 is always the problem usually with this car.

I agree that would be ridiculous. Maybe you're on your phone and cant see the thread fully. The car went 9.7 already. 8 is still a long ways off, but its a lot closer then 10.4.

Also keep in mind it went 9.7 with a Holset HX40 turbo, and now it has a 6766 turbo.
