RT's Evo 9 - PTE 6266 Gen 2 - 647 AWHP/495 AWTQ - Mustang Dyno - Boostin Performance

RT's Evo 9 made some noise on our dyno the other day. When RT brought us his Evo, he had a goal in mind - a reliable car with lots of horsepower that he could have fun with on the street or at the track. We're happy to give exactly that! RT also mentioned that a 9 second pass in full street trim would make him really happy. It looks like we have some future planning to do.

MODS:
*ID2000 CC Injectors
*Boostin Performance Stage 3 Short Block 2.0L
*Boostin Performance Ported Evo 9 Intake Manifold
*ETS V-band Turbo Kit with a PTE Gen 2 6266 Turbocharger
*ECU Re-flash dual map tune (93 oct & E85) on our Mustang Dyno By Devin

Put a 6466 on that and eliminate that horrendous drop after 7500 RPM!

Does take a few moments to get going though... Not much of a lot of street "fun", though that's a subjective term..

How much boost is it running to produce such power?

Looks awesome! I would have thought the 6266 would have been able to hold power until close to redline though.

No mention of cams etc there - if the head setup isn't inclined to hold VE to high rpm then the turbo isn't going to change that (at least without creeping the boost up) , so it may be hasty to blame the turbo.

Looks like it's a TS setup, so that'll definitely kill it up top as well.

You're making a lot of assumptions without any facts. Stop.

No idea who that is pointed at - but my post was all about not making assumptions.

There are no assumptions...

It's a 6266, fact.
It's a TS setup, fact.

I don't see any assumptions in any of the posts above...

wrong, they clearly list it as a v band turbo kit...ets uses 2 gates on their latest manifolds when built for the pte 66 turbine...guess they had trouble controlling boost with one gate...

That's news to me. Thank you for the clarification.

I'm still betting the dual wastegate setup isn't helping power up top.

why would having the ability to control boost hurt top end power?

Boost was set to about 39PSI. We don't have any graphs to compare the Gen 1 vs Gen 2 at the moment.

It certainly will. On this car we'll keep the stock ported as RT isn't trying to shatter any records. I spoke with him yesterday and he said he's having a blast with the car.
