Couldn't agree more! This project was well thought out and the results speak for themselves. Seeing cars like this make me so excited to hopefully get another evo soon.

what battery tray is that bud? wondering about if it would work with short route piping, can't remember if you had short route already or not.

Either way awesome results. When it's time for me to build a motor.... 2.2 will be the direction I go too.

Thanks guys. Little update. I drove to the track a few weeks ago and without launching hard went 11.5@128 and a 129 pass. Power was around 570ish . I've got an auto x next month that I'm looking forward to.

Its an EFI battery tray thats been cut down to fit with the ets short route pipes.

The 2.2 is a really nice engine, The bigger crank makes the car drive better but it doesn't have the vibration of the 2.3. Cp makes shelf pistons and 150mm rods that will work just fine. Light weight Carrillos and strong and easier on the bearings.

Can you post a link to the CP shelf pistons for a 94mm crank/150mm rod combo? Thanks!

This is the CP 9.5:1 150mm rod 94mm crank 85.5mm piston you would need.

Here is the CP catalog link also.

Jay Meagher spent a few minutes dialing cold and hot start in . The VE map was already done on the 1300's so it was just a matter of turning the boost back up and everything was fine. I didn't get a chance to put it on the dyno but its making over 600whp at 34-35psi on E80
A buddy of mine just put a 6266 on his stock block Evo 9 so I wanted to run him before he got used to launching with a QM. I swapped to my short tires to gain some acceleration and more traction for the Autocross I was going to do on Saturday. I drove out to the drag strip 50 miles away and did TWO pulls/logs just to check things out. The Infinity makes it so easy to make changes or hit whatever target you want.

Knowing that the ACT 6 puck wouldn't hold a 20psi launch I set the limiter to 5500 @8-10 psi. I left and went a 1.8 60ft and ran a 11.2@129 . I got back in line to run again and left the same but slipped the clutch a tad more and went 1.7 60ft and flat shifted 3rd/4th and went 11.0@129.9. This was full weight, full tank, spare tire etc.. I'm sure it will go a 10 another day but I'm still really happy with the results.
The next morning 5-7-16 I drove another 50 miles to Daytona international speedway to the autocross. They typically do a small track but this year it was cone hunting . I turned the car down to 25psi @500whp and went hunting.

The Toyo R1R didn't stand a chance for traction and honestly there are better tires available but I chose these since they are really short and that helps get back some of the gearing I lost going to the 4.11 final drive. They are 245-35-17 23.8"

I ran 5-7 times and could keep it in first or second gear and run a 54 second run. 1st gear was much more fun just sliding and ripping between corners. I was 3rd in my class for the day but cone hunting isn't for me. The road course is where this car is really fun with the taller gearing .

I left the speed way and got another tank of E85( it was actually E75) and drove back to swap back to my normal tires.

Even though the smaller tires "seem" to accelerate harder I really like the way the car drives with the taller tires/gear. I drove another 50 miles on sunday to Lake county and then back to work today. Overall, I'm really happy with the build and the performance of this bolt on FP Red.
Video coming soon

Sidenote, I didn't realize the SE was a lighter color then the MR. I mentioned it to a buddy and he confirmed that the SE GG is a different color then the MR GG color.

More how? More power? 613awp for an HTA Red with MHI housing is good. And the 4.11 technically makes the car slower in a straight line, but is really great for being in the right rpm band on the track. Oh, and lowering the revs for cruising on the street

You don't get close to 650whp (Dynojet) unless you have the SS housing...any you'd loose a whole bunch of spool. And he's running lower boost pressure than when he had the 2.0.

LOL. GTFO. Small, fast spooling, turbo making 600+ running an 11.0 in a full weight car that can be driven anywhere and is a pleasure to do it in. This car should be the benchmark for anyone looking to build to the perfect all around EVO.

How do I know this? My car has the same turbo and is almost at the same point Abacus's car is, and I absolutely love it. mrfred's car is also similar with a built 2.0 and CBRD BBK-3B turbo. Fast spool and ~550-600whp is where it's at for having the most fun possible in these cars.
