TSComp 2.0L ATP GTX3582R GSC S3 Skunk2 FiTronic E15-69

We have completed another full build for one of our customers Evos.
This one is an Evo IX MR SSL with a 5 speed evo 8 conversion

This cars equipped with a stock frame ATP GTX3582R which is internally gated. We had a little bit of trouble getting the internal wastegate to hold boost for us up top, so we played with preload quite a lot, but we couldn't get it to hold without making our base WG pressure to high. This vehicles high compression, so high boost will not work well on 93 oct fuel with high static compression.

Me and the customer decided we will either upgrade to a stronger internal gate or switch to a custom style external gated system.

Pictures show 93oct/E15,E40,E69. We are not able to get anything better then E69 right now at the pumps due to the winter blend.

Once we get the vehicle to hold more boost on the top end, we will see much higher numbers out of this setup.

The vehicle has the following mods:

TSComp 2.0L 10.5:1 High-Rev (OEM Crank, Billet rods /w 625+ fasteners, Wiseco pistons)
TSComp Ported Cylinder head
TSComp Ported Skunk2 Intake manifold /w FullBlown 70mm
TSComp Double pumper (2x Walbro 255)
FIC 2150cc injectors
ATP GTX3582R Stock Frame turbo /w internal WGA
ETS 3.8" Garrett Core FMIC /w ETS upper/lower piping
4" intake pipe
Tial Q bov
Map o2 eliminator downpipe recirculated
FullRace tubular exhaust manifold
ARK 3" full exhaust
GSC S3 cams
FiTronic Flex Fuel E15-E69

More builds to follow shortly!

I was a mouse click away from buying this turbo, I did not like the fact that ATP welded the wastegate to the compressor housing. I spoke with a representative and they refused to alter the configuration of the gtx3582r.

Tscomp, I would love to see you unlock the potential this turbo may have.
Since they welded the wastegate to compressor housing, how do you plan on changing it out ?

Nice results. I have one on an Evo X, waiting to be tuned by Tom. We will see what sort of numbers it does.

You would have to weld the flapper shut inside and have a custom exhaust manifold or hotside with external gate.

We will have to schedule that.
