Effective Areas to dynamat an Evo?

I was wondering, from those that have direct experience on the evo, where are the best places/most effective places to apply dynamat and how much will I need? I assume the trunk, 4 doors, and floor would be most effective, but are there specific areas within the areas I just listed that would be best?

I'll most prob be adding a new amp to the inside speakers and since I have an SSL, I have tear everything apart anyways so may as well have some sound deadening installed as well.

I was considering some eDead from elemental design (edesignaudio.com), anyone have any experiences? I'm open to suggestions as to which brand of sound deadening to go with also.

Thanks!

I did all the doors and the feet areas in the front of the car... Made a noticeable difference. When I get a little more money together, I will be doing the entire floor and trunk.

How many sq ft of the deading do you all suppose it would take to do the doors, trunk, and the front passengers floor?

I will be going with edead v1se, its pretty thick stuff and also will be adding some edead v4 on top of that.

I think I'd like to do the trunk, doors, and front passengers carpet area. I've known poeple to do the doors and trunk with a bulk kit, but i'd like to go a little thicker in some areas. So I figure around 45-50 sqft of the v1se and 15-20 sqft of the edead v4.

Sound right?

Always better to have more than less... Sucks to be in the middle of it and run out...

YMMV

Sound right?

instead of buying thicker matting, just get thinner stuff and put double layers where you need it.

The price isn't really that much different, so I figure i'd opt for the thicker stuff and double that down in trouble areas like doors. Any other area where i should double down?

Better to ask you this:

What are you doing the matting for??

Road noise, Sound bearer for system clarity, exhaust drone noises, etc.?

Tell me what your goals are for doing the matting and I'll tell you where to put it...

I am looking to just keep the music inside the cabin and also eliminate road noise/exhaust drone, come to think of it maybe a little bit of everything you just asked lol. Is that possible?
