I'm in the same boat. I have an IX and am working on a carpc to start developing some logging/gauge software.

The DoubleDIN unit is what I'm going with however relocating the HVAC will be a pain. I'm looking at my Autometer tripple lower gauge mount and wondering why a lower hvac mount isn't already available. Same thing just no gauges right?

For those looking for HVAC control relocation, I would highly recommend this:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...fab-paint.html

And if you do not want to build it yourself, you can order it from him also (if you do not mind waiting), which is what I did. I have not installed mine yet but the work is top notch, I was impressed!

Wow, I think I will actually eat my words and say he does a beautiful job!

This was what I was looking for. Something that doesn't cut into the circles for the outer decals. I'm going to buy one I think. Appreciate the link.

It would make it more convenient though to just purchase both pieces from one person. Either way I am in sir. I will be watching this thread very closely. :-)

i really don't understand why someone hasnt developed something like this for a reasonable price sooner.. In my opinion thats the whole problem here, the relocation kit that was previously offered was way overpriced for what it was. keep the price down and make one simple part and im sure people would jump at the op to buy it

I made this thread last year to help people out, and I can also make it for you:

As for these guys:

There have been some other members claiming to be doing the same. Like someone on this thread said, "no point in reinventing the wheel", so use my thread and build your own. If you need help, tips or whatever, just pm me. I've already helped bruce988jl make these to sell forward as well. The whole point of my thread was to show people a way... But orders are still welcome!!!

Take care!
