^^^ thanks dude! Top link has the wiring diagram but looks bit messy.

I think I'll start with fresh wiring to new amp and speaker!
Much appreciated!

digitalskillz both those links are for an 09 lancer with a rockford fosgate amp, not for an evo8 SSL with an infinity amp.

Here is the wiring diagram for the evo 8 ssl with the infinity amp (see attached)

All of my wire colors matched up at the amp harness (2005). The front tweeter and door colors matched up as well. The rear speakers wire colors were different at the speakers though. I'm not using the rears so I didn't bother to match them up.

Here are the crossovers mounted under my drivers seat, where the stock amp was. The new amp will be mounted in the trunk.

There are also pictures of the tweeter brackets I modified to mount the new tweeters. I later cut the tweeter harnesses off of the stock tweeters and had my buddy solder the stock harnesses onto the new tweeters, so they are plug and play.

If you remove the stock amp, I would suggest to remove the 20amp fuse for the infinity amp. This fuse is located in the fuse box in the engine bay. A multi-meter showed both blue amp wires had a constant 12v even with the car off.
