my wipers and turn signal blinker problems

my wipers and turn signal blinker problems

hello, so my car been acting up, its been raining this week and my turn signal just stayed on, not blinking just stays on. Also my blinker stays on when its literally off and cant turn it off unless my car is off. checked fuses there all good. Any ideas what could of caused it?

Yes sir!! What he said. You have corrosion in the connectors behind the drivers side left foot kick panel. Nothing some solder and heat shrink tubing can't fix. I've done >10 at this point.

did you ever find out why its keep getting corroded? water?
any rubber grommet nof secured? or if you have runroof, possible clogged drain tube?

keep us updated, just wanna know lol

Mine has never corroded again. Rain gets in behind the fender via cowl, removed/worn fender plastics, worn/removed hood seal rubber, etc...

The grommet that the harness from the fuse block under the hood runs through that grommet. Apparently some of those grommets don't seal well, become compromised, or it's a design flaw from Mitsubishi. Water gets through the grommet, runs down the harness (it doesn't take more than a drop here and there even) and gets to the pins on the back side of the connectors. Then you end up with this lovely dilemma.

yes, driver left kick panle. need to seal the rubber around it in order to not get water in the connectors
