NGK sparkplug question

So I just picked up some spark plugs for the car and I ask by part number for the BPR7ES and when I got home I realized that the package said BPR7ES-11, Im guessing these are not the same and I dont want to put them in if they wont work, I did look up the part number through NGK and they BPR&ES-11 work for the old Cordia, which was turbocharged but I dont want to risk anything, so anybody know if these will work or not?

wait a sec... i just got this from my mechanic.. you could regap the current plugs that you have but with the case of the - 11, the gap is to big that if you try to regap it, it will not be parralel to the electrode...

i suggest you return the plugs and get the BPR7ES instead...
sorry bout my info a while ago....

the main diff between the BPR7ES and the BPR7ES - 11 is thier gap...

Bring them back and buy BPR8ES those are one step colder.. Ull have a lot freeer and bettter..safer.. high rpm rev. No problems with these. They are definitley much better.. As soon as i switched to the 1 step colder.. smoothed out my whole rpm curve.. no bogging or fluxuations at all. Ive done a lot of research and have talked to some really big Evo Genius's BPR8ES is what you want. Gap between .028-.030 youll be fine..

Remember to replace them every ~10k miles or 6months... since the copper doesnt last as long.. but it saves a lot of money over those nice Iridium's and you get the same results.. just not the same life length..

So you guys have been running the BPR7ES's with good results huh?

That is good news since I have 4 unopened boxes (read 40 plugs) that I bought for my Talon cause the price was rockin ($1.19each) and I changed them often.

Well the Talon is being sold and the plugs were looking to be a loss. so great news.

From what you are saying the 7's are stock heat range for the evo??

I dunno if I'm all alone on this one, but the BPR8ES only last me a day at the track on 110 oct, 26psi. I also tried the NGK Iridiums B??7ix, i forget the number, with similar results. Might try the IW24's next.

I'm running BR8ES (no P), per Vishnu recommendations. Runs great!

you must have the gapped really bad.. Vishnu and a lot of well known 4g63 tuners and drag racers who run really high octane use the BPR8ES with great results as do I. Make sure ur gapping them .028-.030 There has been a lot of misguided info on this in the past.. I dont see how youd be running thru a set thaaaat quick. Somethings not right..

i wonder what the P stands for.. either way my research has concluded (With the P) .

Its been suggested by many to use BPR7ES inplace of the expensive stock ones to be affordable. And even more suggested users use the the BPR8ES like myself which is the same thing just a step colder which makes for a great plug on our high boost high revin engines..and in my personal opinion MUCH better than the 7's .. It cleared up my rev curve. no more bumps or lagging .. smooth all the way up to redline. I had a lot of lag and misfires at 20k miles on the stock plugs.. the BPR8ES made everything purrrfect.. Even the famous Kirt Brown who runs in the 12's on stock turbo.. and has had the famous 9 second i believe NA non nitrous DSM (Lightweighted to all ends) personally suggested these..
