Evo 9 Stock at 21psi=1.48 bar

Evo 9 Stock at 21psi=1.48 bar

Dear evo member, i just want to ask issit normal for my evo 9 that boost max at 21 psi ? i had defi JDM gauges which shows at 1.48 bar. Does evo really boost stock at that high ?

Yes but are you saying that it holds 21lbs to redline ? Or does it taper down to 17-18 by redline ?

Nice boost level. More boost and bigger turbo = much more stock power.

1.48 is actually closer to 21.5psi, but we don't know if that's normal, because none of us have an Evo IX...or rather, most of us (in the US). 1.4 bar was the stock boost on the 05s, so I don't think you're off. You have to remember that the gauges aren't always exact either.

Is it spiking to 1.48, or is it holding that past 7k?

I'm pretty sure boost is designed to max out at 20psi. then taper 18psi.. At least in the US spec cars anyway.

i will let you guys know soon ya as in i only rev until 5k. My car only runs 700 miles
at 5k it was boosting at 21 psi .

Does the turbo start to spool earlier? Max boost earlier?

Hey Extreme Evo 9 will you please go to your local dealership and ask to purchase a new compressor housing (hotside??) Or could you ask what the entire setup would run excluding manifold , and possibly the 02 housing.
