Forgot the washer on the rear diff drain plug... bad?
Did every oil change on my car today, including the entire driveline.
Packed everything up only to realize that I forgot to put the washer back on the rear diff drain plug.
I don't forsee there being a leakage problem - but those washers are there for a reason. Am I just paranoid in wanting to drain it and refill it just so I can get the washer back on the plug?

Its not going to leak fast but it might leak out over time. Might want to check under there fairly often to make sure its not leaking if you really dont want to take the plug back out to put the washer on.

take out the plug. all the fluid is not gonna leak out instantly.
It will leak a little I'm sure, but for piece of mind I would do it over again, it takes like 5 minutes to do =)

Alright, I put it back on... I tried to do a quick swappy only to find out it didn't FIT. I had the washers on the drain/fill reversed, and so the whole diff just leaked out in about 30 sec as I watched helplessly without my drain pan next to me.
Oh well, at least I can less paranoid now.
