Review of Redline LightWeight ShockProof for Tranny

I have been using LightWeight ShockProof in my tranny for about a month now. This is great stuff, I have two full track days using this fluid and it shifts so nice. I have tried other tranny fluids (2 qts of mt-90 + 1 qt of mtl) and
(3qts of Pennzoil Synchromesh) the Lightweight ShockProof is better.
I just ran 6 30 min sessions over @ MMP East Track doing 7000 rpm shifts all day long with no problems.

It may shift great now but I wonder if there are any long term issues like some people are having with bg syncroshift.

I think the issue the the BG is that it's too thin; it's thinner than the factory specification isn't it? Or maybe I'm just imagining things...

In my Nissan, I ran heavy shockproof for the last 40-50k miles with no issues. It was a LITTLE thick on 30 degree mornings, but no biggy.

I never used the factory oil myself so im not sure but the BG is really thin, shifts like glass and you'll love it. The only problem is you wont know the damage you've done until its too late.

Good to hear Thank you for using the correct Redline fluid. I'm currently using:

Motor: 5 quarts Redline Full Synthetic 10W30
Tranny: 3 quarts Redline Light Weight Shockproof
Rear Diff: 1 quart Redline Heavy Shockproof w/1.0 ounce of Redline LSD Additive
Transfer Case: 1 quart Redline Heavy Shockproof

The whole drivetrain feels really smooth.
