Compression problem
I did a compression test today on my 03 evo and all four cylinders posted 90 psi on the gauge. I know most cars in the mid 100's. I do not think its blown head gasket how ever. I am not to familiar with these types of results because every time i've seen normal compression and one low cylinder not all four low. So help me out guys thanks

Evo 8 specs 800 - 1200
Evo 9 specs 650 - 1000
Sounds like you have an evo 8.
90 PSi is 620 - or 6.2bar. Way below presure
Make sure to test it when the engine is warm to hot, and also drop in a teaspoon of oil. If presure increases your rings are gone.
If you have one drop in a cylinder scope via the plug hole (bore scope fiber optic) and check the wear patern on the cylinder. Will tell you quite a bit!

What prompted me to do the compression test was that the car felt slow when i drove it. It has 35 thousand miles. The mods exhaust 3 inch downpipe, BOV, Injen intake with upper intercooler pipe. I also noticed it seems to eat a lot of gas. I know going into boost eats up alot but its driven normally barely hitting boost and gas gets eaten up fast. It use to have a super AFC that was taken off of it and the manual boost controller. I also know that the previous owner did not give it oil changes at 3000 miles. Idiot went over. But what ever is wrong its no big deal its a project car that i got for a very low price, but i do want to get those problems fixed quick so more modding can take place
