.026 became a problem when I installed the evogreen and pushed the boost to 27psi @ 11.5:1

it's .022 now and silky smooth, no more sputtering

Depends on which you bought. The 7 Series plugs can be gapped as much as .029 and the 8 series as much as .024

Copper .022 worked like a charm for me with minimal mods

For the Evo IX the stock gap is 0.021

within 9500 miles i have changed my plugs 3 times. On consumables like plugs, oil, lubes etc etc i dont care about the cost. all these are small things but very vital for the well being of the engine/car

recently i changed my plugs with the 1-step colder NGK Racing Series plugs and they are gapped at 0.024 which is the upper limit of the factory specifications...

Oh i looked it up on sparkplugs.com and it said .044. I was looking to get copper but i read previously there wasn't anything available. Where do you get NGK racing series?

www.sparkplugs.com

R7437-8 the code

expensive as hell but they are needed if you have plenty of mods and you run high boost...

mate if you have a IX either pay the big bucks if you need colder plugs or stickj with the OEM ones... if you search in this forum you will see that for the IX there are very few options...
