Full Fluid Change. Fluid Suggestions.

Well tomorrow my girlfriend going to take her 03evo8 to mitsubishi to get ALL fluids replaced and have the car serviced and checked out to make sure everythings ok (she just bought it and it has about 48k miles)

When she called Mitsu. She told them she wanted a full fluid flush and change, and they told her that she didnt have to replace the clutch fluids? Whats the truth behind this? Should she just do it anyway just to be safe?

Anyway now for fluid suggestions. Please list your suggestions for the following but keep in mind that her car has 48k Miles. Also KEEP IN MIND, THEY MUST BE FLUIDS WE CAN BUY AT SOMEWHAT LOCAL STORES (Murrays Speed and Custom Carrys Reline oil. BUT all the other fluids IDK where to get them

ATM this is what we are going to be using:

Oil : Redline Full synthetic Oil. (BUT what type? I was thinking 10W-40 or 10W-30?)

Clutch Fluid: -Edit- Not Changing unless someone suggests to.

Transmission Fluid: ?? Again i dont know what we should use for her car. Ive never done a transmission fluid flush n change on my personal car so im not sure. Any suggestions? Or use OEM fluids also?

Transfer Case Fluid: ?? I didnt even know there was a fluid for the transfer case lol. Any suggest on this? Or just have mitsu use OEM Fluids?

Brake Fluid: -Edit- Probably not changing. Unless someone suggests to.

Differential Fluid: ?? Im not sure what to use on this. Now since she has n 03 she only has the rear diff right?

THANKS ALOT FOR THE HELP IN ADVANCE!

My Recipe:

Motor: 5 quarts Redline Full Synthetic 10W30
Tranny: 3 quarts Redline Light Weight Shockproof
Rear Diff: 1 quart Redline Heavy Shockproof w/1.0 ounce of Redline LSD Additive
Transfer Case: 1 quart Redline Heavy Shockproof

Coolant:
Engine Coolant Capacity: 6.3qt & 0.69 in reserve tank = 6.99qts
1 quart = 0.25 gal

1 bottle Water Wetter (12 oz) = 0.375 quarts
1 quart 100% Antifreeze/Coolant
5.62 quarts Distilled Water (1.40gal)

Total= 6.99 quarts

Oil : I use Mobil 1, but you'll get a lot of answers for this.

Clutch Fluid: Dunno.

Transmission Fluid: Most people will suggest Redline MT-90 or BG Synchromesh II, if memory serves.

Transfer Case Fluid: Best advice, OEM *only*.

Brake Fluid: Don't believe this one matters much.

So you use redline for ALL of your fluids huh.

What do you think about changing clutch fluid? not really needed?

ALSO: how many miles do you have on your 03, to be using 10w30?
And for your rear diff.. why do you put lsd fluid in?

do a search. topic has been covered countless times. be weary of non-OEM fluids in the drivetrain, especially the TC and rear diff.

Yes I do. AMS was the one who recommended this recipe to me when I spoke with them. Car feels great.

Clutch fluid I am not sure, sorry.

I have about 68k. If you don't use any lsd fluid the diff engagment will be rough, especially when taking corners slowly. So AMS recommended I use 1oz. lsd fluid for street applications.

You have almost 1500 posts and joined over a year ago and are asking these basic questions that you could easily answer yourself?

What have you been doing with your time on here?

Thing is her car has 48 thousand miles compaired to my 13k. Its hard to compare the old to the new. Where as my motor oil wouldnt be the same as hers. AND i have ACD N suches.

What have i been doing with my time . finding out about performance not maintenance
