Loud VibrationNoise

I'm hearing a loud vibration noise from my car. It sounds like a metal chain being drag into the ground, loud chattering noise. It seems like it only happens after driving around when the fluid is warm. I can hear it during idle and also when I press the clutch in and drive. The noise is loud enough and it comes and go. I currently have act clutch and fidenza flywheel.Could it be my throw out bearing or input shaft? my lj boot on my rear driveshaft is currently blown, I will replace it next week. Can it also be my driveshaft? If anyone has an idea I would appreciate it.

Most likely if you are getting noise when the clutch is in and when it is out, then it is not the throwout. Does it get more harsh sounding when you press the clutch in?

Driveshaft carrier bearings and CV joints would only give you noise in motion for the most part.

Is the noise RPM dependant?

Not really, even being on neutral on a drive thru it would come on and off. It seems like it only happens when the fluids are hot. There is no change in sounds when I press the clutch in, I realease the clutch and it is still happening? Could it be my input shaft? I'm doing a tranny flush next week, If I have metal shavings what can I conclude from that. Thanks

Clutch feels ok?

I would take a really good look around underneath the car and make sure nothing is loose first to rule out anything peripheral. I've heard of catalytic converters making some noise at times when they are shot. How many miles you have?

P.S. - When you drop the trans fluid look at the larger pieces that come out, they will tell you most of what is going on inside the trans. A chip of a gear here, a detent ball there, all that fun stuff....
