Question Buschur HTA35R Exedy vs. Tilton (10 second street car!)

Help asap!

I need your guys opinion. Im buying a clutch this coming week. I just bought Buschur HTA35R kit and I am also sending my T-case and tranny rebuilt to Shep. Which clutch is better???....Which one will last longer?(I know you would say depends on how I drive but aslking for both...???) right now I still have the OEM @ 46k miles so I gez i'm not a clutch driver at all! lol

Exedy twin HD or Tilton twin cerametallic? I don't have a budget anymore for triple

My goal is to have a 10 sec street car around 550-700 (on dynojet). High 10's on pump and mid to low 10's on 114 octane.(we don't have E85 and C16 ). All mods are in my sig.

****NOTE: Please indicate your power making when suggesting which clutch is better. Thanks!

Quartermaster Twin Carbon Metallic. Will hold 800 ft lbs on the twin disc and has a hydraulic TOB for great pedal feel and engagement. Not too much more than Exedy Twin (I believe about $150 more)

If you are going to put the kind of power to get you into the low 10's then why not get an Exedy Triple cerametallic? Spend the money on some insurance with a better clutch for handling higher hp cars. JMO.

Good luck with whatever you pick

evovin... I cant beleive you went with shep

Anyways I would go with Exedy. Tiltons are trouble, if they are not carbon.

And if they are carbon then they are considered The Best for what your application is. Just remember, the Best will cost you the $$ once, all the rest will cost you less at first, but will keep costing you, over and over and over, not to mention the hassle of pulling the tranny, over and over and over.....
You never have the money to purchase the good stuff once, but you always have the money to replace the inferior stuff once it is worn out.
Also, this was just discussed a few days ago here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...91#post5136391
Hope some of this stuff helps in making the Right descision.

He did not want the carbon and I am not suggestiong he he buy it. He post about the ceramitalic twin. I know 2 people that have had these clutches in there car for DD and they didnt go 7k miles. One of them works at BR

evovin the best for you man would be the triple exedy. But he did not post he wanted that clutch. I have the triple and have proly 30+ passes on it with my 35r, and proly 20 or more when I had my stock turbo.

When Daniel Buschur did my trans, he suggested the triple over the twin, if I was going to be running a 35r. At the time I had my stock turbo, but I told him I was going to do an HTA 35r when they came out... tho that didnt happen His eyes got big and told me to go triple and I have not looked back since

Hell the clutch Dan sold me was used and out of his 9sec Evo, and it still works great!!

Thanks Dan

I thought about sending the tranny to Buschur for Bushwacker but the last time I talked to Jrod he said Daniel was in vacation and he couldn't tell me how long will it take. My tranny is grinding 5th gear and most of the time I can't get it to 5th gear!
