starter probs

i have an evo8. well my car has had some problems starting 4 a while know. at first it was an every now and then problem that my car would just click and not start but it only did it like once a month. well recently it did it every day i would have to jump it off then i could turn the key and it would start. so i went and bought a new starter and batt and it still does it sometimes. it will just click like its a relay or the starter. is there a relay under the hood 4 the starter or anything to do with the ignition?. iam running out of ideas please help

check wire to the S- terminal of your starter-may have a break somewhere causing intermittent issues. Make sure all of your connections to the starter are tight as well as the battery terminals.

its not ur starter its the starter relay that cant give the starter enough juice to crank the starter . I had the same problem so i had to put another relay from the batt to the starter. That fixed the problem

In this instance it's almost always a problem with the grounding wire coming loose or having bad contact with the chasis. Check and make sure that's on a good clean surface before buying any more parts.

On my 8 it is in the relay box next to the battery, first row next to the battery at the front.

Don't forget to check the clutch switch, it is also in the circuit.
