Car stuttering on WOT.

Okay so for a couple weeks I had been having this really weird idle issue when I would left off the gas and my car would almost stall.

I figured through searching it could be intake or a boost leak. I searched and searched for a couple weeks looking for a boost leak because I didn't want to go back to my stock intake. Finally a few days ago I found that my bolts going from the DP to the O2 were missing... I got some new ones from a local guy and tightened everything down. the problem went away! Sweet!

Well now I am having a new problem... The car is stuttering at high RPMs with WOT. It only stutters for a moment and then seems to pick right back up and also seems to do it on some gears but not all. I need to do some more testing where I can shift through all the gears to confirm this.

Anyway, again I've done some more searching and found people mentioning it could be the clutch going out, fuel cut, boost cut, or spark plugs.

I've been thinking about changing my spark plugs anyway, as you can see in my mods I have the Walbro FP so I'm really hoping it's not that. Again I can't find any leaks in any of the tubes... So my question is, if it's not the plugs what should I check next?

I've been tuned, I think it was with the bolts missing, so I'm wondering if that could be affecting me now that I've tightened that stuff up. Before I go down too many different routes I'm wondering if I should try and get another tune or look into other areas first.

It's your spark plugs, replace them and this issue will be solved. I had the same thing.

That's what I'm hoping for! I'm hoping to pick some up on the way to work and change them over lunch. If it's not the problem I'm hoping to have an alternate route to solving my problem that I can get working on ASAP.

Are the NGKs still the best spark plugs I should get?

Edit: Here's the post that will hopefully answer my own question... Linking it here for reference tomorrow...

Yeah def sounds like you need spark plugs...If you running bolt ons gap them at like .24...If your running meth or alcohol, gap them at .22.

Yeah I'm running a MBC, I was tuned at 24psi and turned it down to about 21 because I don't have a guage installed... I can say my stock guage isn't maxxing outbefor it happens seems to happen around 1 bar give or take a quarter bar.

But no it's not doing the stall thing anymore... It's stopped that since I found the missing DP to O2 bolts.

I think it might be my clutch...

I have about 5k miles on my clutch.. but here's the problem.

On the way to work today I tried the "5th gear test" I essentially put the car in 5th gear while rolling at 35mph. It was stutter for a second then the RPMs would shoot to redline. This really blows since I just got this thing installed!! I've been complaining about how hard this clutch is to drive since I got it, I also found that the t-case was leaking oil. Once I tightened that up and put in new oil, the clutch started feeling better. But now I'm afraid the damage is already done.

What do you guys think? What should I do if it is the clutch. Should I replace the whole thing, or just get the replacement wheel or whatever it is... (Not sure what it's called.)

Or do you still think it's the plugs? :-P
