Question changed the intake and got idle issues

hey was up guys , i currently changed to gsc s2 cams on my evo wich was tuned before on hks 272 , we turned on the car and the idle was exellent no issues driving it at all , we left the tune there with out changing anything the car felt awesome and we were not racing it at all waiting to get another flash.

Until i decide to install a br intake pipe for stock maf , with ams oil air filter , since the filter was rubbing the hood i cut off the like 1 or 2 inches of br pipe and went on to install again ...... only to find out that my evo dosent idle at all , out the muffler u can hear it spits smoke and it sounds like im on a v8 engine the car stalls and if u hit the gas the car gets hikups ,,,,

IM NOT SAYING BR PIPES r not good , its just i guess maybe its a coincidence that my car now salls now BIG TIME

so heres what i did

1.changed the intake pipe back to the old one
2. change plugs , coils , camsensor , maf sensor

and dtill the cars acts real agreesive like i was missing the maf ....

anything else u guys can recommend ????

thanks for reading i know its a long thread people

intake pipe, get rid of it or maf rescale.

I had issues with a hardpipe, no brand. Have the perrin unit now without any idle issues.

Try cleaning your MAF with CRC MAF cleaner. The filter might have been over oiled and coated your MAF sensor. Disconnect your Neg. cable at the same time, for at least 10 min.

I'm on a 61mm with an ETS Intake and the car will not idle without the map to maf patch and I played with a lot of maf and injector scaling before going that route.

Perrin's intake is a soft pipe design correct??

I think I'm gonna try just fabing a couple up to see what works.

You sure there isn't a charge pipe loose, or a coil pack not connected. Check the easy stuff first.

It would not idle at all except on cold start. Clutching to a stop it would stall every time. It sucked.
