precision 6870 open or divided? cant seem to decide

precision 6870 open or divided? cant seem to decide

as I'm prepping for next season I cant seem to decide as to what route I want to go... I'm going from my 6466 to a 6870 but I just cant seem to make a decision on to go with the open or divided, open I would go with a .96 and the TS I would go with the
1.32 housing.

does anyone have any info between the two? it would be awesome if someone has done some testing between the two on spool/power up top, but I don't think its been done by anyone yet. just trying to figure out what application is going to suite my setup best. ive talked to a few guys on here/FB and seems as both setups work great but would love to get more info before I decide on what to actually go with.

the car is used for drag and will be running either a 10:1 or 10.5:1 2.0 motor.

Quick spool valve. Takes 500rpm off the boost threshold.

Twin scroll 1.00 or 1.15 A/R only, I was told by a very reputable tuner that open scroll would make this the worst turbo in the world

Or perhaps it's been tested and definitively resolved so long ago that it's prima facie information by this point. Open T4s have been around forever, and yet they are mysteriously absent. Is it because no one has thought of using them, or is it another reason? Hmmm.

I've been around here for 10+ years, and I don't recall every reading anything positive about an open T4 for this application. Meanwhile, 1000+ whp EVOs with divided T4s are thoroughly proven, and AFAIK, there is nothing an open T4 will do as well, much less better.

Open scroll in general is poor choice above a t3 frame especially with such a large frame such as T4. Even on T6's, TS's are widely preferred.
