I don't think its a joke, evo bretheren. I believe it, because it's a function of evolution, no pun intended. There is more than one company(FP) conducting excessive amounts of engineering and development on the stock appearing, bolt-on type turbo's. It's obviously in the "demand", so its only logical that companies are determined to bring out the next best one. Just as it was said in an earlier post on this thread, the stages were very specific and instrumental for the next stage in stock turbo. "White"=>"Green"=>"Red"... and then the HTA Green had its collection of enthusiasts for a particular part of the market, so why not an "HTA" type of "Red" or .... "Black". I sincerely feel the "Red" has yet to reach its potential. In fact, my build that is going on right now, has been meticulously engineered to harness the "Red" as it currently sits. Anyway, I hope these rumors are released as facts and we see the next best thing. The most bang for the buck seems to be the market, so why not pursue that market.... Just my $.02

HMMMM
Thats funny. I guess the phone call I made to David Buschur on Monday about a time frame for the FP Black was something I dreamed up in this crazy imagination of mine.....
I know one will be on my car as soon as possible. Testing is in its final stages to make sure everything is 100% perfect. I am going to say no more. If David and or Forced Performance wants to chime in then so be it.

Yes I remember that post. I think the FPBLACk will be a 3576 type turbo. I believe I saw someone from FP mention that is one reason they came up with the 80 mm compressor cover and that new compressors wheels were being tested. The red is supposivly a 76 on the turbine side if I recall correctly. Do you guys think that they came out with a 80mm compressor covers just for the red? I think they were trying to open up more options.

Well I can understand why they haven't released any info as of yet now thanks to this thread. EvoM is worse than a middle school girls locker room as far as rumors and drama is concerned.

if they do do a fpblack.... may I suggest some freaking ball bearings!!!!
A little reading material for you...
how about fitting a stock style hot side onto a Garrett center cartridge with some revers spinning FP magic wheels.... thats would make a good FP black if you ask me!
