HELP Buschur Double Pumper not working

Ok guy's i fill dumb but i cant figure this out at all, i have a double pumper and the second pump is not kicking on i thought it was the PRESSURE SWITCH so i bought a HOBBS 10 psi one to see if it fixed the problem and it did not, on the new pressure switch it has two sources NO (normally open) C (closed) i have the wire from the battery and in line fuse to the NO and the wire from the fuel pump is on C.. So when it see 10 psi the C circuit open up sending the 12v still nothing also i checked it with the air compressor turned it down to 10 psi the pump comes on just wont come on when i hit 10 psi of boost and ideal???? It on a good vacuum source to took the line off to the switch and the ideal falls low and has some good vacuum to it.. it say's from buschur just t it in to a good vacuum source that what i did, any help will help thanks for your time and sorry for the long Essay lol

Where are you tee'd off for a vacuum source? Just asking cause it must not be right if you are applying 10+ psi manually to the hobbs switch and it works. Good luck.

i have a vacuum block the mangus intake manifold only has 4 ports, 1 is the map sensor 2 is the brake booster line, and 3 and 4 or vacuum nipples, so those 2 i ran str8 to the vacuum block so the vacum block has 6 nipples but 2 are str8 to the intake and 4 are used for sources...

- Do you have the 2nd pump grounded appropriately to the chassis?
- You can take a pick or something small inside the hobbs switch to close the circuit. Just stick it in the end that you hook the vacuum line up to.
- Have you run 12volts directly to the pump to make the pump is working correctly?

Mine does the same thing. My 2nd pump doesnt work when boosting but when I manually put air(using air compressor) the 2nd pump works.

I was getting boost pressure from IM T-d with my Tial bov. I even transfered mine on UICP near TB and 2nd pump still wont work when Im boosting my IDC still @ 90ish% @ 30psi. (93 octane)

bump for this thread. David pm me already(a month ago) to try manually prime it but I did it already. This is the only thing its been holding me on getting race gas tune. I was even going to buy BR twin feed line kit thought it may solve my fuel issue.

This statement makes no sense...

"works when you put 10 psi to it"

But in the same post....."but not boosting"

What do you think "boosting" is??? It doesn't magically work when you put a compressor to it and than not work when you put boost to it.

Have you completely taken the hobbs switch out of the system just to see if it works when directly connected to the battery.

What will happen with the hobbs switch out and if you run both pump at all times? Does it become too hard to tune.

if both pumps run at the same time, it overruns the FPR at idle.

Just call Buschur. He supports his product and will help you get it dialed in correctly. This is the wrong place.
