I'm putting my 2.3L stroker engine together and found out that my pistons are the wrong ones.

so im looking for new pistons now the car will be runing 600+ hp
whats the best pistons to use ? i need low noise one as its a road car .
iv read some piston ie ross use a lot of oil too.
i have manley i beam rods .

so whats best ones to get that are not noisey on start up and not mad for drinking oil . please dont just say a brand, if you can part number or a link to them that will help alot thanks

For a street car under 600hp, I would with the SRP Pro's by JE Pistons. They are 4032 alloy, which requires less clearance in the bore (quieter) and also have skirt coating and a lightweight forging. The .5mm oversize stroker parts only weigh 284 grams. You can buy these from AMS or Buschur.

With your setup, I would suggest you look at Manley, Wiseco or SRP. Any of those will handle the power with out issue, each comes with a complete set of rings, locks and pins and all of them are well proven! If you have any specific questions, please let me know. I'm always happy to help!

thanks for the info are srp new ?? iv never see them before


the the dyno's over here read alot lower then in the US about 100hp lower so the car may have 700 hp, but don't think it will make a difference

SRP is not new, they are made by JE.

They are very similar to there own design but use the lighter 4032 material. 600-700 HP is no problem for this piston.

so has any one got je srp pistons in there car are they noisy ???
what about wisecos are they good /noisy

The SRP Pistons won't be noisy. They have skirt coating and are made from 4032 alloy so require less clearance than other pistons. For your car, these should be perfect. The Wiseco's are 2618 alloy, but I have heard they are still quiet.
