transmission will need the gearbox mount to go with it.
transfer case output spline is different AFAIK, so if you got the driveshaft with it too it might fit?

The transfer case is entirely different on the 7/8/9 than the 5/6 AFAIK. Even the non-ACD ones are entirely different. Not 100% sure though.

Engine and trans yes , tcase is a no go. The center diff out put to the trans / tcase is the same so all you need is a 8 t case. The 6 has a different subframe so the tcase is different. We have a customer who has an EVO 6 TME. We swapped in an Evo 8 engine and trans since he blew his engine and trans but we had to keep the 6 t case.We could have made the 8 t case work with some fab work. Another problem was a few weeks after the swap he blew up the tcase(front diff) so we had a machine shop modify an Evo 8 tcase internals to work in a Evo6 t case. If it were me i would just try and get an 8 drivetrain it is a PITA when parts break on the EVO's never offered here in the States especially if it is a DD.

i'm not sure sorry mate,
so you have the evo8 transfer bolted up to the evo6 gearbox and it's ok?
and you're looking for the rear gearbox mount to cross member? is that right?

1- i cant confirm that.its a long story..its an ES lancer with a evo 8 sub frame the tranny and the engine is evo 4 the t-case from sheptrans(converted to 2wheel).everything fit perfect but i am not sure the t-case is 4-6 or 7-9

2-the mount on the subframe is there for the 8.but the bracket on the gear is not there

well i found out the the passenger side mount and trans mount are shorter on the evo 4. also the rear bracket is different. Not sure if it can be used but i used the 8 . I have the evo 8 rear bracket and the evo 8 front bracket but my front mount on the crossmember doesn't line up correctly. I was wondering if the rear mount is different in the evo 8 5spd and 6 spd ?
