Transmission guru's chime in please.

evo can shift through all the gears fine..car idles fine.
put it in neutral and try to push the car.. it doesnt move. feels like when i put it in 1st gear.

try to move the car forward or in reverse the car will stall due to something holding the evo back.. not allowing it to move.

i have an exedy tripple disk, i press in the clutch i hear chatter of the disk, i release it it goes away. TOB seems to disengauge fine..

what do u guys think is the problem?

Could be:

1) Busted Front differential (car should still push through it, but it will make horrendous crunching sounds)

2) Locked transfer case (probably it ) ring gear, pinion gear, etc. (the car will bounce back from clutch application like there is a "lock pin" in the gear--kind of like trying to push an automatic car in "park")

3) Maybe bad rear diff (never had this issue myself though)

4) Stuck e-brake (less likely)

Simple stuff first, take a look at all the brakes and make sure none are locked clamping.

its not the brakes.. its in the drive train somewhere.. it really sounds like #1 or #2 because its comming from the front side of the car..

Have access to a lift where you could get under it and try spinning the wheels by hand and listen for noises?

What if shifting between gears not so smooth? I had transmission upgraded by shep racing, put a short throw in and now it's not a smooth transition. I heard a washer for the speed sensor could solve the issue??
