Yeah most people end up with 280's after starting off with 272's for a more "streetable application", but then in time want a more aggressive cam for more potentiol bhp. So just save yourself the time and the extra cash and get 280's -not hks- if you want maximum output of your build.

HKS 264/272 -- stock turbo, then FP White Rabbit turbo
Comp 280s -- FP White Rabbit, then FP Red
Buschur 272s -- FP Red, then FP Black
There was a big difference in power and lopiness with each of those cam swaps. I would not go any smaller than the Comp or HKS 280s, even on a daily driver. The Buschur cams compromise drivability in parking lots and very slow stop and go traffic, but are fine once you are moving and they hit their real stride above 6500 rpm. They don't like to be lugged under 1500 rpm though. If you want your car to run almost as smoothly as stock around town, then get 272s or smaller.
Also, I would suggest consulting with whomever is going to do your ECU tuning. Tuning an Evo with a really large set of cams requires more expertise than running something closer to stock.

Consider where you want the power to be and how hard you are going to rev the car. I've gone through these cams:
HKS 264/272 -- stock turbo, then FP White Rabbit turbo
Comp 280s -- FP White Rabbit, then FP Red
Buschur 272s -- FP Red, then FP Black
