Preventative transfer case rebuild?

Alright guys, here's the stats. I drive an 04 Evo with 80k miles, bought it at 30k miles. It is not my daily driver and primarily sees HPDE duty. I used to autocross it but almost never anymore. I never dragged so I don't launch. Prior owner most likely did. It's about 330hp and all mods are in my signature. I have not encountered any transfer case problems, just a rebuilt Shep tranny. My question is, do you think it is worth sending the transfer case to Shep to be rebuilt as a preventative reliability action? I know he does good work, but I've also had no problems with my transfer case as of yet. I'm just worried if it's a time bomb (not that there's any way you could tell me). Mostly just toying with what ifs.

You should be fine (especially if you don't launch it) with that amount of power.

Preventative is never a bad idea.

Launching hard/with high power is what wrecks transfer cases. So youd most likely be fine. But if its bugging you, get it done.

Your fine. Spend the money when it breaks. There is nothing to take the transfercase off so there would be no real reason to do it just yet.

The trasnfer case is extra. It would be different if your question was something like "im putting cams in my car should i upgrade the springs and retainers while im in there?" but this is a case that is not needing everything right now. If you have the funds go ahead and do so. but once the season has kicked off the turn around time will be longer.

i say your wasting your money that you could spend on something other then your car or for something that may come up unexpectally. say you want to buy another 50inch lcd or something. dont spend money just to spend money hold on to it until your TC lets you know its time.

btw GARY you mind answer the last pm i sent you.

I heard that Shep can "shim" it and this will greatly prevent any issues as long as you do regular maintenance
but IDK for sure
