I have an evo IX so my service manual won't help you. You have an VIII (slightly different wiring) so you should buy this dvd. It's $15 and will be the best investment you could make for your car

If the harness is all clean with no corrosion on it then wouldn't you think maybe the junction box has a short in it? Like the issue is inside of the junction since it works when you wiggle it. That's what I am thinking at least. What are you thinking it is?

It had some light corrosion I cleaned up. Then packed all the plugs with dielectric grease. I just need to know what color wire is responsible for the ignition function of shutting it off I suppose. Day off tomorrow, going to mess with it some more. Im thinking the corrosion spread through the wire so I'll have to cut it and go from there.

i think its the green wire with white stripe, on connector c105. can anyone verify this? ive been staring at these wiring diagrams but i keep running myself in circles. "junction block" i suppose is the wrong term, i beleive its reffered to as a joint connector. On top of it all im colorblind, so this doesnt turn into the easiest task hahaha. I think my issue has to lie with what ever wire is linking to the IGN2 functions. Key out of the ignition it continues to run, but also dash lights illuminate. when key is on IGN2 the lights go out as they should. Car starts every time, runs fine. Im so lost, and i really would like to pinpoint the problematic wires instead of cutting and reconnecting all of them. Its hard to beleive that the small amount of corrosion i found is causing all these issues but it has to be.
