Hello,
for 3 days now I have not been able to fit the tranny back on to the engine bay.
Even ended up removing the whole radiator out to make room, and still cann't get
it to go in without getting stuck on something.
I tried with two jack but that didn't go anywhere.

My last hope is a engine hoist. with the hoist lifting and me under it guiding the
tranny to its place.

any tips for me before i bring in the hoist?.

Did u remove all of the mounts and mount brackets from the trans? Also try tilting the back of the tran(side closest to th firewall) up a little so it can get up over the sub frame. Other than that taking the sub frame off of the car is another option.

I did remove the front mount bracket but not the one face to the firewall
because that one would be a pita to put it back on once the tranny is back on.
As far as the sub frame goes I have not get to that yet , but will give it a shot.

That one is a little tough to get back on but is possible. I had a tough time getting my trans back in when I did my clutch. So I tilted the back side up and over the sub frame first and then brought the rest up in.

if you can hoist from top...and get rear up in first you should be good...also loosen sub frame...GL

Theres a thread in How-to. also, Its only like 6 bolts and 2 power steering lines to drop the sub-frame, takes maybe 1 hour and gives you all the room you need. I lknow no one wants to do it but you've spent severals days..... just drop it and trans goes right in and you'll know everything is lined up correctly.

I will also suggest to at least remove the 4-bolts holding the sub-frame, to lower it at least 2". Its not that much work and it gives you plenty of room.

For those of you that have removed the entire sub-frame, does the steering knuckle goes in one way or do you have to mark the spot is was on?

Ok update,
thanks to my brother inlaw and the hoist i'm able to put back the tranny onto
the engine the transfercase bolt into the bottom of the tranny , but one problem ,
the rear mount will not go into the bracket.

Do I continue to bolt everything together hoping it'll line up everything?

Get the wheels as straight as u can, and mark the knuckle and steering rod.
