wats up everyone.. so i have an issue.. i just recently did my oil pressure switch in my 03 evo 8.. do to the flickering light.. also did the oil change and everything seemed fine.. been driving the car for a bit and no light.. now today im on the highway and i let off the gas and went below 2k.. and my light comes on.. doesnt flicker just solid.. and goes away ova 2k.. i checked my oil its fine.. looked for leaks nothing.. checked to make sure the plug to the oil switch didnt come out also.. now the car isnt smoking.. sounds fine.. i havent hit boodt in it in a bit now cause i drive it calm.. any ideas?.. i just hit 88k.. the motor does tick a bit.. kinda louder then others ive heard .. does the dealer do oil pressure tests?.. wat do u guys think it can be.. im confused at this point.. im thinking that the oil pump is goin out the dr..

Any shop should be able to use an oil pressure gauge and see if its within spec. No need to goto the dealer.

now not sure if i statted that im running kelford 272's.. now i know those cams make the ticking from vacuum at idle.. thats theonly time i hear ticking.. and also have 1000cc inj..not sure if those cause noise..

has anyone ever used the autozone duralast oil pressure switch.. do u think maibe that can be the issue..

so i can literally hold my car revved to 25k and light stays on once i go ova that it fades away and once it reaches the area bam.. right back solid.. sounds like i got sum porblems

There is no two ways about this: You need to have the oil pressure checked with a hopefully accurate gauge.
